Our Story

Jimmie and I began our journey as prayer acquaintances. Jimmie was mentoring a gentleman in his men’s group who was married to a friend of mine. Anyone that knows me, can tell you how passionate I am about prison ministry and by this time I had been serving in the prison ministry department at my church for four years. Meeting Jimmie through our mutual friends was no big deal. (so I thought) Through our friendship Saved By Grace correspondence with birthed. Jimmie ministering on the inside and me on the outside. As our friendship grew letters turned to phone calls and phone calls turned to visits. Favor fell on us as we were not married but contact visits were granted. This allowed us to participate in retreats together at the unit. We would go around encouraging families, couples and other brothers in the faith. Saved By Grace transportation was now birthed. As families did not have transportation to see their loved ones. Jimmie and I would again tag team from the inside out. Fast forward to October 10, 2017 we were married in the unit visitation room. We share our testimony in the marriage journey seminar as a lot had taken place between 2016 -2018 when my husband was released. God indeed was merciful and faithful towards us.
