POWLEDGE UNIT - September 2023

What an incredible event! The Marriage Journey Seminar Powledge Unit was a HUGE success.  We were only 3 in number (small but mighty).  God was indeed in the room.  We didn’t meet the budget, but we met the need.  To God be all of the glory!!!

Beto Unit - June 2023

Team work makes the dream work! In early June, SBG visited the George Beto Unit to coordinate our Marriage Journey Seminar.  Attendants of the event were tremendously blessed by the counseling we had to impart into the spouses of unit inmates.  Here are a few comments from the Beto Unit Seminar:

Kamessia Andrews – “Thank you guys! We had a great time and you gave great advice on dealing with marriage when your spouse is behind bars. I came back with a new outlook on my marriage.”

Anadelia Rendon – “We had a really great time! Thank you all for making this event happen.”

Loretta Fisk – There really are no words to express how thankful I am for yesterday. I honestly went to be able to spend the time with my husband. But what I got was so much more. I will forever be grateful for this day. Thank you for keeping it 100 , and giving us hope that it can and WILL work out for us.”

SBG would like to send our thanks to those who sponsored a couple or client. We had an amazing time!!!

The Different Stages of Marriage - May 2023

In the month of May, Pastor Rodney Derrick and First Lady Ramona Derrick hosted a live discussion on “The Different Stages of Marriage.”  SBG Foundation was among the guests featured in this phenomenal discussion.  Feel welcome to view the whole conversation here!

Powledge Unit - March 2023

We were honored with the opportunity to encourage couples behind the prison walls at the Powledge Unit!

Thank you so much to all the volunteers who helped us during this seminar!

Marriage seminar - november 2022

Over 247 years of marriage was in the room. The couples ranged from one year of marriage to fifty years of marital commitment. We celebrated marriage and love while being refreshed by all the wisdom and encouragement that each couple gracioiusly shared.
